Circle Jerk

If you missed Circle Jerk's live performances in October or its on demand recording in January, you missed out. But fear not! There are many interviews, reviews, and additional media available to peruse (and contact me for more, seriously). Though not filmed in isolation, this production exemplifies how live video theatre is not a substitute, but unique and purposeful. Overall, I'd recommend surfing the show's wild and campy site here.

"It’s winter on Gaymen Island, a summer retreat for the homosexual rich and fame-ish. This off-season, two White Gay internet trolls hatch a plot to take back what’s wrongfully theirs. Cancelations, meme schemes, and political and erotical flip flops abound as three actors playing nine parts play out this chaotic live-streamed descent into the high-energy, quick-change, low-brow shitpit of the internet."

Created by Michael Breslin, Patrick Foley, CMU alumn Catherine María Rodríguez, and Ariel Sibert- three of whom are dramaturgs XD
